Strømme Foundation is a rights-based development NGO founded in 1976 in Norway, and works towards a vision of a world free from poverty. Our most important interventions in the fight against poverty are education, job creation and strengthening of civil society. 

In a mission to eradicate poverty, we have established a presence in Asia. We implement our programmes in disadvantaged and hard to reach areas of Nepal, Bangladesh and Myanmar. In 2023 we exited Sri Lanka, after being working here since 2001. 

We use a holistic approach to strengthen community structures and promote collective efforts to empower marginalized communities to lead their own development in a sustainable way. The work we do also provide social protection to children and adolescents.
